“You are Alayne, and you must be Alayne all the time. Even here. In your heart. Can you do that? Can you be my daughter in your heart?”
“I …” I do not know, my lord, she almost said, but that was not what he wanted to hear. Lies and Arbor gold
, she thought. “I am Alayne, Father. Who else would I be?”

She had last seen snow the day she’d left Winterfell. That was a lighter fall than this, she remembered. Robb had melting flakes in his hair when he hugged me, and the snowball Arya tried to make kept coming apart in her hands. It hurt to remember how happy she had been that morning. Hullen had helped her mount, and she’d ridden out with the snowflakes swirling around her, off to see the great wide world. I thought my song was beginning that day, but it was almost done.

…it’s said they are the Stranger’s wives…

So, wanted to note a few things, because I know this piece comes off as a whole lot of NOPE. She stopped at the headstone when she noticed the little bird perched there. It may look as if she’s mourning for the person buried there, but it’s more about her mourning for the loss of family and the life she once had. Also, that grey figure in the background isn’t a headstone, just some dude who stopped digging graves for a second to check out what silent sister was up to. -.-

Purple is a color associated to sensitive and compassionate people, who think of others before themselves. People with personalities connected to color purple have a peaceful and tranquil quality and a quiet dignity about them. People are drawn to their charismatic and alluring energy. They are idealistic, and often impractical, with a great imagination, dreaming of a future in an ideal fantasy world where you exclude the ugly side of reality. They can be selfish and self-indulgent as they don’t like being imposed upon by others beliefs and regulations. (x)

A pretty little talking bird, repeating all the pretty little words they taught you to recite. (for Maria)
